Replacement batter compartment cover for Trijicon REAP-IR Gen 2 thermal scope.
Gen 2 can be indentified by vertical, double CR123a battery placement design, model number IRMS-20-2, IRMS-35-2, IRMS-60-2.
Replaces the factory battery compartment cover to allow you to use USB power bank with the scope.
USB power bank not included.
Cap screw: 18-8 stainless steel knurled scope screw, black Cerakote® finish, installed with nylon plastic washer and 18-8 stainless steel retainer.
Hinge bolt: Alloy steel, black oxide, Vibra-TITE® VC-3 threadmate pre-applied and cured.
Q&A
Q: The two CR123a batteries are connected in parallel, supplying a nomial voltage of 3V. But USB power bank would supply a nomial voltage of 5V, won't the higher voltage damage the device?
A: The internal circurity is the same as Gen 1 devices, which support either a single, or two CR123a connected in series. The internal display will detect the input voltage and show either one or two battery icon at the lower left corner. A 5V voltage from the USB power bank is very close to two CR123a batteries in series (~5.4V actual), and the device recognizes it as so.
Q: I only received one dummy CR123a battery, don't I need two?
A: You only need one dummy CR123a battery, installed into the front slot. The rear slot should be left empty.
Q: Can I use CR123a batteries instead of/inconjunction with the USB power bank with the replacement cover?
A: No, doing so will damage the device.

REAP Battery lid
Shipped very fast! The attention to detail is top notch. Fit and finish is as good as if not better than factory. The instructions are some of the best, especially when taking your $8k optic apart. The detail on PH0 screw driver size is unheard of. Gave me confidence that I wasn't going to mess this thing up. Highly recommend!
